Snow Removal
A winter service vehicle (WSV), or snow removal vehicle, is a vehicle specially designed or adapted to clear thoroughfares of ice and snow. Winter service vehicles are usually based on a dump truck chassis, with adaptations allowing them to carry specially designed snow removal equipment.

Snow Hauling
Many properties require snow to be hauled on site to a snow storage location while others require snow to be removed from the site entirely.
Salting Ice Control
The salt impedes the ability of the water molecules to form solid ice crystals. So if there's snow, sleet or freezing rain and the ground is 32 F or colder, solid ice will form on streets and sidewalks. If the water is mixed with salt, though, the freezing temperature of the solution is lower than 32 F.
